It’s not easy to gain ourselves in this age when we are all involved in a rat race and indulge in an unhealthy lifestyle. At this time we do not have time for ourselves and no space or time to listen to our inner selves which guides us to love, compassion and kindness. We totally get lost in fulfilling the demands of our lives and lose touch with ourselves. We get agitated and angry so fast, we lose the rationale thinking over our actions and end up being aggressive. When we ignore and push our feelings aside, we choose to go thoughtlessly through the life until we are unhappy and repent over the action and deeds and feel depressed.
Reiki healing is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing as well. It is mainly administered by lying of hands or palms and is based on the idea of the unseen life source that flows from the hands of the healer to those of the healed. It believes in the concepts that lower the life force energy, higher the chances of the healed person to contract illness and stress. Reiki treats the whole person and not just the ailment he is suffering from. Same can be said of the holistic therapy courses that guide the aspiring healers and students to cure the patients naturally without administering any kind of antibiotics but with simple and natural methods like meditation, yoga, ayurveda etc. Reiki is a healing art evolved from Eastern visions of what our universe is and how it functions. Today,in the West, we grow master teachers, who, like their patients and students, have rushed up the ranks through an instant reiki system of weekend seminars, offering little, if any, foundation in Eastern thinking, and who are continuing to churn the master-making machinery. Reiki is composed of two Japanese characters. The top character, rei, is defined as spirit. The bottom character ki, is defined as energy. It is fair to say that the term reiki means spirit energy or life force. It is imperative for the Western student of reiki to understand that they are embarking on a journey to a place in our comprehension where we come into direct contact with, and are changed by, the dynamics of language.
In conclusion these holistic approaches are natural and safe methods of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.
